Metanomics Event Today 11am - Building, Marketing and Media in Second Life

Today at 11am SLT Metaversed presents another compelling session of the Metanomics series. The event's host, Professor Robert Bloomfield, has entitled it Building, Marketing and Media in Second Life. Today's guest is Chris Carella (Satchmo Prototype), Chief Creative Officer at The Electric Sheep Company, who will be giving us insights about the plan behind the CSI build everyone is talking about as well as details on the new OnRez viewer; customized client software used for logging into the virtual world of Second Life.

This will be a good opportunity to delve into what corporations need to know about venturing into virtual worlds, how they might justify their budgets for such endeavors, and how one might define and measure ‘success’.

As usual the event will be broadcast live through the SLCN.tv website as well as at several Event Partner locations around the virtual world of Second Life.

Many are running pre and post-events so it's worth taking the time to look and find out which event partner is right for you. We'd like to call special attention to the three locations that, last week, drew the biggest crowds:

Metaversed Island
Our island typically fills up well before the event, so we've locked the maximum occupancy of the location down to 40 people from now on. If you'd like to experience the event here, best to arrive early!

Muse Isle
Our good friend JenzZa Misfit hosted a very well attended event at Muse Isle last week and was even host to four visitors who had created avatars just for the event itself! JenzZa runs a great post-event discussion as well, filled with new ideas and new discoveries about doing business in virtual worlds.

Ampitheater at Colonia Nova
Rose Springvale demonstrated exceptional organizational skills last week pulling together resources and group announcements on very short notice ending up with a very respectable sized audience. The conversation after the event went on for more than an hour, showing that CDS residents are a truly engaged community!
