Press and auto journals are abuzz with the news that Renault's F1 team will shortly be in Second Life this morning. I tried to contact the development firm believed to be helping Renault, but Rivers Run Red as of yet haven't returned my email. More news when I find it..
The island has been sat there for ages, but last time I checked was still not accessible to ramblers. It looks to me like they've missed the opportunity to align the launch with the start of the F1 season, a few weeks ago. Maybe they're waiting for the French (or Monaco) GP.
Although sponsored by ING (even the island name reflects this) it seems the Dutch bank are not overly involved in the SL presence.
Have you spotted any other F1 teams in SL yet?
No i haven't, but it probably doesn't help that F1 doesn't really interest me Aleister :)
My only interest here is in how they operate in SL...
