Yesterday, Google announced a very handy new feature for people that use Google's customized home pages. You can now add tabs to your homepage that automatically fill out with what Google considers relevant to the keywords you enter as the name of the tab. You can see my Second Life page pictured here, it hosts a whole bunch of useful news and information widgets and makes for a really great way to skim through what's happening at any given time in the Metaverse. Here's how you can create your own:
- Go to Google personalized home and if you dont have one, sign up for an account, or login.
- Just below the Search box, you'll see "add a tab". Click it open.
- In the box marked "Tab name", enter the worlds [Second Life] without the brackets, and make sure that the "I'm feeling lucky" checkbox is ticked.
- Hit "OK" and you're done. You now have the ultimate second life newspaper, almost.

Well, I've been working to create a Google Gadget for Metaversed all morning. I've missed breakfast, only had 3 cups of tea and only barely managed to get time for a shawer, but I still cant make the damn thing work the way I want to.
